Which materials are not allowed in the skip bins?

  • Asbestos or fibro
  • Food
  • Liquids, sludge or slurry (our bins have drainage holes)
  • Gas bottles, flammable containers
  • Hazardous chemicals including solvents, paints, acids, oils, grease traps etc.

Palm trees, car tyres and mattresses incur an extra fee. Please let us know if you have these items when you make your booking so that we can quote for you.

How high can I fill the skip bin?

Please fill to the rim only so nothing will fall out whilst being transported. This is very important as it is illegal to transport overloaded bins and your bin cannot be collected if overfull.

Where should the skip bin be located?

As a general rule, the skip bin needs to be placed on private property. This includes most driveways if they are within the boundaries of your property. Your driveway needs to be at least 2.7 metres wide for a normal truck to fit in the driveway. You should also ensure there are no power lines or trees that may hinder the access and placement of the bin at time of delivery. If you think that access may be difficult, feel free to discuss the location of the skip bin with us as we have smaller trucks for more difficult access.

Please note that if you need us to place the bin off your property, such as on a nature strip, you will need to check with your local council as you may require a permit. We are a registered preferred bin supplier in the following councils:

  • Inner West Council
  • Randwick Council

What size skip bin do I need?

The most common size skip bins for a household clean up are 2 to 6 cubic metres. For a large cleanup or renovation, 8 to 10 cubic metre bins are more suitable.

How long can I keep the skip bin?

We usually allow 7 days hire. If you require the bin for longer just let us know. Or, if you have filled the bin earlier, just call us and we will come and collect it.

How much notice do I need to give when ordering my skip bin?

We can deliver your skip bin the day of your order. We pride ourselves on our same day service.

How do I pay for the skip bin?

When you make your booking we will ask for your credit card over the phone for payment. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express.  We also accept cash payments to the driver upon delivery. Account applications are available for builders and commercial sites.
